In this week’s Motivation on the Move lesson I talk about focusing on what you do have, and not what you don’t have. Too many people wait until everything is perfect before they start their online business. Let me tell you something, it will never be perfect. If you wait until everything is perfect, you won’t ever get started.

You can never know everything there is to know about internet marketing, so don’t wait another day to get started. Use the knowledge that you have now and don’t worry about what you don’t know. Just get started and get started now! Soon you will start to make some progress and make some sales. Then you can invest in some of the other tools you need to make your business even more successful.

I want you to start a new mantra: 3WYH

Work With What You Have

When you are first starting an online business, there is a number of tasks that have to be completed to get your internet business off of the ground. Now if you lump all of these tasks together, it can become very overwhelming.

You don’t know where to start first. You start to get confused and frustrated. This leads to you feeling overwhelmed and overwhelm leads to procrastination every time. This is why most people can’t even get their business off of the ground.

That is why the best way to keep overwhelm at bay is to cut every project down into bite sized tasks. The smaller the better. If a task is going to take you longer than 1 hour, you did not break it down far enough. Remember to always start with your “Road Block Task” first, (See my blog post from August 5th to learn about road block tasks) and schedule time in your day to work only on this task until it is completed.

Your bad habits are causing you to procrastinate. You have some daily bad habits that are a road block to your success online. You must identify these habits and eliminate them.

These bad habits are the things you do everyday to avoid working on your most important task of the day. Internet marketers suffer from “I have to check my e-mail now syndrome”. This stops productivity dead in it’s tracks. You should never check your e-mail first thing in your work day. The first hour of your work day should be spent on completing your most important task of the day.

One of the reasons why most people fail to make money online is because they lack confidence. The best and the easiest way to build your confidence is to first build the confidence of other people. When you see a video, blog post or tweet that really impresses you, let the person know how much you liked it.

This will really build the confidence of the person who created the information. Everyone likes to be told that they did a good job. It can make a person’s day. Now after you do this, a cool thing will start to happen. Other people will start to make your day by telling you what a good job you are doing. Before you know you will be overflowing with confidence.
